Several dairy markets moved higher after a shortened holiday week ending last Thursday

CME spot blocks jumped to $1.5475 per pound, up $0.1150 from last week, while barrels added $0.0850, closing at $1.5600. Nonfat dry milk climbed $0.0500 week-over-week to $1.5550 per pound, with heavy trading activity. Meanwhile, butter ticked up $0.0125 Monday to $1.6500 per pound, then remained quiet throughout the rest of the week holding.

Annual Dairy Strong conference moves to Lambeau Field in 2027

The Voice of Milk announced its 2027 Dairy Strong conference is set to take place at a new location: Lambeau Field in Green Bay. It will kick off at the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame on Jan. 13, followed by a full day of programming on Jan. 14.

DATCP Accepting Applications for Producer-Led Watershed Protection Grants Through September 15

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is accepting applications for 2027 Producer-Led Watershed Protection Grants through September 15, 2026. These grants are awarded to producer-led groups to help support and advance producer-led conservation solutions and farmer participation in local watershed conservation efforts.

John Deere owners win right to repair equipment under settlement with FTC, Wisconsin and four other states

The Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general of Arizona, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin have secured a "right to repair" settlement with the farming equipment company John Deere to provide diagnostic and repair tools to owners and independent shops.
