U.S. Farmers & Ranchers in Action is teaming up with research firm Edelman DXI to better understand what regenerative agriculture means for farmers and ranchers and would like to include input from Edge and DBA members. Your input in this anonymous survey will help improve understanding and practical realities. Cumulative results will be published this fall and shared at major forums, including COP30 in Brazil. Responses will be collected until Sept. 1.
Draft of 2nd MAHA Report pulls back on its pesticide attacks

Kennedy Jr.’s debut MAHA Report, The New York Times began reporting Thursday evening that it has received a leaked draft of the new version, dated Aug. 6 — one that appears to temper many of the concerns ag producers would have about the Health and Human Services secretary’s attack on modern pesticide use.
USDA ends programs for solar, wind projects on farms

The U.S. Department of Agriculture will no longer support solar and wind projects on productive farmland, said Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins in a post on X on Monday. The move is the latest in a series of actions by the administration of President Donald Trump to stall development of wind and solar energy, which Trump says are unreliable, expensive, and dependent on Chinese supply chains.

“The project has been thoroughly reviewed and exhaustive public hearings and comment periods have been held, it’s time to trust the experts at the Wisconsin DNR and U.S. EPA,” stated Wisconsin dairy farmer and former Dairy Business Association Board Member Paul Fetzer. “Line 5 delivers essential energy — propane, diesel, and gas — that farmers depend on. Ongoing efforts to delay the project put unnecessary strain on agriculture and risk disrupting our food supply.”
